La explicación de este fenómeno se apoya en los últimos descubrimientos de la química orgánica moderna que ha permitido la fabricación de dispersiones acuosas de plásticos e hidrófugos que, pese a poder ser diluídas sin dificultad con agua, una vez seca la película de estos compuestos, se convierte no solo en insoluble en agua sino que presenta una extraordinaria repelencia a este elemento, el cual corre en forma de perlas sobre la superficie.
The explanation of this phenomenon is based on the latest discoveries in modern organic chemistry that has allowed the manufacture of watery dispersions from plastics and water-repellents. Despite the fact that they can easily be diluted with water, once the film from these compounds is dry, it not only becomes an insoluble in water, it also displays extraordinary repellence to it. Uno de los problemas más serios con que se enfrenta la tecnología de revestimientos y pinturas es la lenta, pero implacable desintegración de las películas expuestas a la intemperie debido a la acción de los agentes atmosféricos y en especial, de los rayos ultravioleta de la luz solar.
One of the most serious problems with coating and paint technology is the slow, but unrelenting disintegration of the films exposed to the elements due to the action of atmospheric agents, especially the ultraviolet sunrays.
Estos actúan tanto en los colores, desvaneciéndolos, como en los diferentes ligantes que sirven de sustento a la pintura, dando por resultado la formación de grietas, descamación y total desprendimiento del substrato.
They act upon the colors by bleaching them as well as weakening various substances that provide sustenance for the paint. The result is cracks, scaling, and complete loosening from the substratum.
UV FILTER
Los materiales desprotegidos comienzan a deteriorarse rápidamente. Es así como la madera se descolora al poco tiempo de estar expuesta, sufre la destrucción de la lignina de su estructura celular, se pone esponjosa y pierde resistencia a la carga absorbiendo, por consiguiente, un exceso de humedad. En estas condiciones es fácilmente atacada por insectos, hongos y bacterias, que contribuyen a su desmembramiento total.
Unprotected materials begin to deteriorate quickly. This is why wood fades soon after being exposed. It undergoes the destruction of its cellular structure's lignin, it gets spongy and loses resistance to the attack. Therefore it absorbs excess moisture. Under these conditions it is easily attacked by insects, fungi, and bacteria which take their toll on its complete dismemberment.

IMPORTANTE:
Debemos destacar que la protección que brindan los BARNICES WET PROOF COLOREADOS es muy superior a la que ofrecen los BARNICES INCOLOROS, ya que los pigmentos constituyen una pantalla natural para los rayos solares. En maderas rojas, como el Alerce, Roble, Raulí, Etc., los mejores resultados se obtienen con BARNIZ WET PROOF CAOBA o BARNIZ EXTRA PIGMENTADO.
IMPORTANT:

En el caso de estucos de cemento y ladrillos a la vista se observa una paulatina pérdida de lisura de la superficie, lo que aumenta la absorción de agua y provoca el desplazamiento de las sales cálcicas de los materiales térreos hacia el interior y exterior de los muros, dando origen a las conocidas manchas blancas que tanto afean las fachadas, desprenden papeles y pinturas del interior y permiten la proliferación de hongos y musgos.
In the case of cement stucco and plain brick, a slow loss of surface smoothness can be observed.
